I think we should really start tackling high-level content like the Rift. I don’t even care about the loot, it’s just fun tearing down the dudes with 130,000 hp.

Want to go to The Rift?
Here’s some stuff you can do to get ready:
1) Get your virtues (Justice, Mercy, etc.) as high as you can before this date. Two important ones are Fidelity and Honour, as they have shadow mitigation which is your friend.
2) Get your legendary quests done. This includes both your books (each class has 3), as well as your level 45 quests (which give you nice items as well as your 4th and final legendary trait).
3) Gear up the best you can. This doesn’t mean blow 100g on the best crit crafted stuff ever. But don’t come wandering into The Rift still wearing level 38 rings or your level 42 crafted armor set. It just won’t cut it.
4) Come prepared. Bring hope tokens (Arus and Grimmo can make +5), food (regen and +stat), morale AND power potions (talk to Hoboknife), cure draughts (those things you buy from healer NPCs? yes, they ARE useful, bring a stack of each), lore books for that nice 5% group buff, fire/light oil, etc.
5) Last but not least, get ready to have fun! We’re goons, we’re only playing this to have fun 
The intent of this is to both do well in our first real foray into the Rift, and to have a ball doing so. This is not serious business or nerdrage drama time.
